Oral Papers

Western Neuroradiological Society 58th Annual Meeting
October 1st-4th, 2026
Sheraton Maui Resort
The Program will include oral scientific and case presentations as well as printed posters to be displayed in the lobby/corporate partner exhibit area.
Deadline for Submission
The deadline for submission is August 1st, 2026. You will be notified of the outcome by September 4th via email at the address provided during the submission process.
The Gabriel Wilson Award is given to the authors of the best oral scientific presentation. The author is invited to present the work at ASNR, and some travel assistance is given.
Abstract Review and Judging:
All submissions will be peer-reviewed and scored by a panel of expert judges prior to the conference, based on:
Relevance to conference topics
Demonstration of evidence-based, innovative, and emerging approaches to patient care
Clarity and completeness of submission
Oral Scientific Presentations of original investigative research
6-minute presentation plus 2 minutes for questions
Recommended abstract format: Purpose, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusion
Abstracts may include one graphic file with a maximum of four (4) images
Oral Case Presentation of exceptional case or case series
3-minute presentation plus 1 minute for questions
Required abstract format: description, relevant radiologic findings, summary of what is relevant, novel, or educational about the case
Abstracts may include one graphic file with a maximum of four (4) images
Virtual Poster Presentation of original investigative research or education topic
Authors should be available to answer questions via the Whova App
The first author listed for each abstract serves as the presenting author and as the primary contact for all correspondence regarding the abstract.
The presenting author is responsible for the following:
Ensuring that all co-authors have read the abstract and agreed to participate. Failure to acquire approval from all co-authors will result in rejection of the abstract
Obtaining conflict of interest (COI) disclosure information from all co-authors
An individual may be listed as “presenting author” on no more than 3 abstracts.
“Presenting authors” in-training (fellows, residents, and medical students) must include an attending radiologist on the abstract. Although you may submit an abstract that has been previously presented, preference will be given to original work that has not been presented elsewhere.
Accepted Abstracts
For all accepted in-person abstract applications, the presenting author must register and be present at the meeting. For all accepted virtual abstracts, instructions will be sent after acceptance.

Presentation days/times are limited; if you have any limitations, please indicate this immediately upon the receipt of your acceptance notice by sending an email to Lydia@trifectaeg.com. The planning committee will do their best to accommodate requests based on limitations, but this is not guaranteed.
Submission of an abstract indicates a commitment to present at the WNRS 2026 Annual Meeting. If an accepted abstract is not presented, it may affect the privileges of the author/co-authors to present abstracts or give invited talks at future WNRS meetings.
